Through her passions for exploration and creativity, Madeline Stewart discovered a path in social engagement art. Growing up in Acton, Massachusetts, Madeline explored artistic practices at a young age. An encounter with glass art in 2012 sparked her love for the material, leading her on an adventure of artistic, social, and self discovery. More recently, a semester abroad in Australia exposed a comprehensive relationship between her interests and practices. Madeline is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in glass at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Her work explores the synthesis of glass and social participation, encouraging collaboration to catalyze the development of inspired ideas.
Madeline is a flamework instructor in Rochester, New York and Acton, Massachusetts. She plans to continue teaching around the world after completing her BFA, traveling and learning from creative individuals in different places, and sharing the inspiration that for her has sparked growth and transformation.
